English as an Additional Language (EAL) - B1 Level
Course Description: This course is designed to enhance students' proficiency in English as an additional language at the B1 (lower intermediate) level. It is a for-credit course with a minimum requirement of achieving a 60% grade to advance to the next level of EAL. The course curriculum encompasses grammar, reading, writing, and cultural aspects. The course will incorporate a cultural dimension to broaden students' understanding of Canadian culture. Topics may include customs, history, literature, and contemporary issues. To complement the cultural component, field trips in and around Halifax will be organized.
